Owing to the rapid development of technology, electronic media has become a crucial channel for large and small enterprises to promote their products and services. The high penetration of personal computers and smart phones also let more citizens receive electronic messages easily.

In view of this, Macao Post and Telecommunications Bureau is going to launch “Secure Electronic Postal Box (SEPBox)”, through which citizens can receive different types of information. To offer a more efficient promotion channel for various enterprises, Macao Post and Telecommunications Bureau also makes use of the current base of Direct Mail service to establish an electronic direct mail service called“ eDM”through electronic mailing platform – “SEPBox”. Customers can send their products or services promotional messages to SEPBox users through “eDM”.
The service charge of “eDM” is comprised of two parts, namely “Mailing Fee” and “Approval Fee”. The former will be transformed into “delivery points”. Prepaid customers need to purchase “delivery points”in advance, and will enjoy discount for one-time purchase reaching a certain quantity of “delivery points”. Apart from prepayment, enterprises can also apply for monthly payment. The “eDM” approval fee of MOP2,000 will be waived for customers using both Direct Mail and “eDM” for the same product or service.
