Submission of Electronic Customs Declaration Required for Mail Items Sent to Ireland
07/11/2024 17:19

In compliance with the requirements of the Ireland Post, all postal services including EMS, parcel, registered small packets/letters, small packets/letters from Macao to Ireland are obliged to submit electronic customs declaration before posting the items. Effective from 7 November 2024, any mail item that does not have the corresponding electronic customs declaration may not be accepted by the customs at destination and returned afterwards.

Senders have to submit customs information in English through CTT’s website (http://cds.ctt.gov.mo/cds) or mobile app, which should include basic information such as the recipients’ address, category of mail items, quantity, value, and weight. A QR code will be generated after the completion of the relevant electronic customs declaration. Before posting the items, senders have to present the corresponding QR code to CTT’s counter staff who will check whether there is any discrepancy between the corresponding declared information and the mail items.

Senders will be requested to provide the required information of mail items which have not been electronically declared. If the information is unavailable, the mail items will be returned. If there is no return address or senders cannot be reached, the mail items will be disposed of and postage will not be refunded.

Thank you for your kind attention.
